Through the acquisition of Aurora, which was completed on June 10, 2008, Nevoro now holds the Stillwater project in south-central Montana. The Stillwater project is underlain by the lower sequences of the Stillwater Intrusive Complex.

The Stillwater Complex is a North American analogue to the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. Both of these layered intrusives are richly mineralized and hostng mines producing significant quantities of platinum group elements (PGE). The Bushveld also hosts significant reserves of chromium.

The Basal Series and Ultramafic Series in the Stillwater Complex have excellent potential to host copper-nickel-cobalt, chromium and PGE deposits. Sporadic exploration and development conducted in the 20th century has identified significant advanced exploration targets including with historic resources* as follows:

23 million tons averaging 0.62% Ni and 0.45% Cu in the Mouat Mine area

14 million tons averaging 23% Cr2O3 in the Mountain View Mine
9 million tons averaging 20% Cr2O3 in the Benbow East Mine
6 million tons averaging 22% Cr2O3 in the Nye Basin Area
21 million tons averaging 22% Cr2O3 in the Benbow Mine.

In addition to these deposits, previous exploration on the Stillwater project has identified numerous exploration targets including PGE targets in the Ultramafic Series and nickel-copper-cobalt targets in the Basal Series.

Nevoro intends to initiate exploration at Stillwater as soon as permits are in place.
